Spirit of Sportsmanship

An assembly was conducted by students of grade 6A on Wednesday, 1st February 2017. The topic was "Importance Of Sportsmanship".

Bounce - Free Jumping Revolution

Our school had organized an excursion for grades 5 to 8 on 12 January 2017. Students were very eager and excited about it.

STEM - Do It Yourself

Bilva Indian School conducted its first "Do it yourself" competition from Grade 1 to Grade 8 on Monday, 13th February 2017.

Republic Day Assembly

A special assembly was conducted by our students on 25rd January to celebrate Republic Day with great patriotic zeal and fervor.

EXCURSION TRIP TO KIDZANIA (GRADES 1 -4)

On Thursday 12th January 2017, grades 1 to 4 went for an excursion trip to Kidzania Dubai.

World Religion Day Assembly

An assembly on World Religion Day was conducted for Grades 5 to 8 by the students of Grade 5B in the auditorium on 15 January 2017.

Welcome Assembly

A welcome assembly was conducted on the 3rd of January by the student council members to usher in the new year and also welcome the students to a fresh start.

UAE FLAG DAY CELEBRATION 3rd NOVEMBER 2016

Our school celebrated the UAE Flag day with great serenity and respect on the 3rd November,2016 on the field. Students showed their love and respect for the UAE flag

Enrichment Learning Program (2nd Round)

To complement the core curriculum, Bilva Indian School provides a wide range of experiences and resources to foster student learning in our Enrichment Learning Activities that are provided by school teachers and external experts, coaches, all delivered within the regular school days.

FLAG DAY CELEBRATIONS

The students of Grade 3, 4 and 5 had the priviledged opportunity to participate in the UAE Flag Day Celebrations on November 3, 2016 at Zabeel Park along with over 20,000 students from various schools representing almost 120 different nationalities residing in the country.

REPORT ON WHAT WORKS EVENT

What Works had selected our school's Hydraulic Project for display at What Works Dubai on Monday, 24th October for integrating minds and bringing about fusion of science as well as happiness.

Inter House Basketball Tournament 2016-17

Inter-house Basketball Tournament held was conducted from the 16th to 19th October, 2016. It was an exciting four day event in which the skills of both boys and girls were put to test. The entire tournament was intense as teams from the four houses battled for the first position. BIS Basketball stars displayed their talent on the court and amazed spectators with their level of skill.

Inter House Football Tournament 2016-17

At the end of the Summer term, our School conducted the Inter-House Football Tournament from 3rd to 6th October, 2016 for categories of U-10, U-12, U-14 Girls & boys. The main objective was to develop a sportive spirit and encourage healthy competition among students.

Salad making competition held in our school as part of the Healthy Food Week

Salad Making Competition was held at our school on the 6th of October, 2016. The competition was open for students from grades 3 to 8. The objective behind the competition was to inculcate healthy food habits and awareness regarding the choice of food among the youth. The participants'creativity was revealed through the beautiful designs and patterns formed with different mouthwatering salad.

'Anti Bullying' for Grades 5 to 8

Students from Grade 5 to 8 attended an Interactive session conducted by our In-house Counsellor on 19th October, 2016 in the School Auditorium. The purpose of the session was to share the School's Anti-Bullying Policy and educate students on the importance of taking a stand against bullying.

WEAR IT PINK DAY

The 'Wear It Pink Day' was celebrated across grades 1-8 on 11th October, 2016. It was an initiative to create Breast Cancer awareness among the children.

Dubai Solar Show

UAE is at the forefront of global development of clean technology and renewable energy. As a part of the many initiatives the government of Dubai takes up to create awareness among the young generation, the Dubai Solar Show was one such event our school was invited to.

SCI FEST- Interschool Science Exhibition

An interschool science exhibition SCIFEST was conducted at Ambassador school, Dubai on 24th October.

The Literary Week for the academic year 2016-17 commenced on 4th of September to the 8th of September 2016. The week showcased myriad activities and students actively participated to show their creative side.

"To the world you may be just teachers but to us you are HEROES" this was what the students emanated on the 5th of September 2016 - Teachers Day.

INTER HOUSE CAROM TOURNAMENT 2016-2017

The Inter House Carom competition was held on 31 August, 2016. Carom is one of the most popular indoor games. Like many sportsit is a scientific game and is based on Physics and Geometry and requires focus and determination to succeed.

At Bilva Indian School we believe physical education plays a major role in the overall development and growth of children.

International Spell Bee Competition

The School level MARRS International Spelling Bee Competition was held on 14 June 2016. A total of 57 students participated in the first level of the competition from grade 1 to 8.

Talent show for Grade 1 - 4

"Talent can't be taught but it can be awakened." And to awaken and discover the hidden talent of our students, a Talent show was organized for Grade 1to 4 on the 30th & 31st of May 2016.The students showcased their talent in the form of singing, dancing, acrobatics, acting, drumming, martial arts and playing musical instruments.

Mr. Nanavaty's Visit

The students of grade 5-8 had the privilege of attending a special session with Mr Dinesh Nanavaty on Sunday 29 May 2016. Mr Nanvaty, popularly known as "Nana", is the BCCI Level "C" Head Batting Coach and has worked with most of the Indian cricket teams over the years and batsmen like Sachin Tendulkar, Rahul Dravid, V.V.S. Laxman, Yuvraj Singh, Gautam Gambhir. He has also trained many other International and first class players. Nana is also a faculty of the Coaches Course for Level `A`, `B` & `C`.

JSS competition

JSS Fiesta, an Inter school competition was conducted by JSS International School on May 29, 2016. Twenty three students of from our school from grades 6-8 participated in various categories competing with five other schools across Dubai.

Prize Day

The Prize day for the academic year 2015-16 was held on the 21st of April 2016 in the School Auditorium. The ceremony began with the recitation of the Holy Quran and the lighting of the lamp by the Principal - Mr. Richard Monteiro, Vice Principal - Mr. Chandrashekhar, Supervisors Mrs. Clara Martin and Ms. Nelida.

Investiture Ceremony

"Leaders are not born but are made by their experiences in life". To inculcate the leadership qualities in the students and to give them a feel of functioning of the administrative body, a school prefectorial board was formed after scrutinous interviewing and selection.

EEG Newspaper Collection Drive

Bilva Indian School makes its mark as the third top collector of newspapers among all schools in Dubai in the Paper Collection Drive conducted by EEG in the month of January.

BLOOD DONATION CAMP

The Students of Bilva Indian School volunteered in the Blood donation camp held in the school campus on 29th January 2016, in association with Friends of India Events (FOI). The camp was honored by the esteemed Chief Guest Mr. N.K. Nirwan, vice consul, The Consul General of India. The Guests of Honour were Ms. Zainab Haider, Public Relation, Blood donor Recruitment unit, Latifa Hospital, Dubai, Mr. Shivaprasad Mayya, President, FOI events and Mr. Richard Monteiro, Principal, Bilva Indian School, Dubai. The camp was sponsored by Future Vision and DigitalEye Studio.
